The Cake Box Bakery was acquired by its current owners Robert and Deborah Gingell in 2020 shortly before the pandemic hit. Being able to stay open, they quickly saw an increase in demand with their customer base growing extensively. Extended product ranges and stock levels soon meant that the tired out of date store and equipment wouldn’t be able to meet the new needs.

Rob and Deb enlisted the help of Kate Rowe and Spaceworks Interiors to design and plan an Interior revamp of the shop – building on the traditional family run bakery values, the design builds on natural materials and traditional displays with new chilled cases, ambient shelving, and built-in fridges to display the additional ranges. Changes in the interior layout have allowed for a more coherent back of house function for packing and wrapping product.

A wash of pink over the ceiling and down the walls reflects the new branding, clean crisp white tiles and honest woods for the cladding and flooring. Square fronted and fully glazed cake displays with wooden Bakery shelving adorning the walls makes this a very special stop off for your Bakery treats.
