Following the success of our previous project with Barbours, we were asked to design a scheme that could be manufactured and installed in the pre Christmas lull this department traditionally has. The design was provided within two weeks and visualised and presented along with a mood board of materials for manufacture. We provided a rapid sampling and quote to the client and after a development period of 4 weeks we were ready to install the new look department.
The merchandising fixtures were designed around a simple metal box section that was punched to allow the shelves to be flexible. The cream powder coated finish was set off with a washed wood effect laminate back panel and overshelf. A metal goal post upstand at the front of each shelf allowed a full packet of product to be displayed in an upright position and retaining it in full visual sight. We worked with the clients existing wall fixtures and provided solutions to uplift and bring in design elements to complement rather than replace in its entirety - this allowed the budget to be more manageable and to re-cycle where possible.
“We gave Spaceworks a limited period of time to come up with a design and costing to suit our needs. Refitting a Linen Department before Christmas is a great idea providing there are no hiccups. As all trades work harder and faster than normal, as they are desperate to get finished for Christmas. All products arrived on time, were well fitted and give a very good overall appearance. Another happy client.” Peter Barbour.
